This is a great recreational acreage in one of the best recreational areas in Michigan. The 120 acres is rolling with young to medium growth hardwoods and massive hemlocks. Between the ridges there are some lower areas creating an excellent, diverse habitat. The property has 2 cabins. One is an Amish built shed with 2 sleeping lofts, stove, fridge, and space heater. That cabin is finished warmly and with an upnorth feel including a breakfast counter and furniture built from wood harvested on the property. The second cabin is a converted job site trailer also finished very nicely and reminiscent of an upnorth cabin. Both cabins are wired to be plugged into the generator via an outdoor plug. There is a functional outhouse and an outdoor shower stall. The well is a hand pump well. About 25% of the forest is maple. About 25% is beech. The remainder is almost entirely hemlock but there are a few other pines mixed in. The property has a long history of good bear, grouse, and white tail hunting. This area is loaded with snowmobile, ATV, and hiking trails. This is not far from Tahquamenon Falls State Park, many small lakes and the Tahquamenon River for fishing, multiple trout streams, Whitefish Point, Whitefish Bay National Scenic Lakeshore, and Lake Superior. There is 120 acres of land locked Nature Conservancy land adjoining this property which adds to your hunting potential.
